| SPIEMONT-TRAIL (ca. 30,7 KM) |
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6th, 2012, START ca. 12 p.m., SCHLOSSPLATZ ST. WENDEL
A remote and quiet creek valley, mystic giant trees, challenging climbing sections across open rock formations and gorgeous single trails through the well wooded hill country of the nature park Saar-Hunsrück form a contrasty program to the City-Night of the first running day. Out of the city up to rough tracks in the woods. The second day's course leading about 30.7 km around the Spiemont Hill is heavy but pleasant as well. Untouched beauty of nature in the dense timberlands turn running into adventure. You shouldn't waste your energy from the very beginning due to many climbings and the partly difficult surface of the track. |

| |
| BOSENBERG-TRAIL (ca. 21,1 KM) |
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7th, 2012, START ca. 10 a.m., SCHLOSSPLATZ ST. WENDEL
The third and probably most challenging day means literally: "Keep on Running". This day's trail around St. Wendel's highest Mountain, the Bosenberg completes the triple. The Bosenberg-Trail is indeed more than 10 km shorter than the day before – but please pay attention: Running won't get easier. On the contrary. A steady change of biting up- and downhills and tricky offroad sections ask for the best of runners fitness, coordination and mental strength. The athletes will feel remote from civilization and have to deal with the hardness of nature as it is given under their feet. So everybody has to roll up the sleeves and start for the great final of "SALOMON KEEP ON RUNNING". |
